6×6 oil on canvas panel Looking for relationships rather than mere documentation of facts can be the difference between music and noise. Thought I’d try something with a little more subtle color relationship. The two pitchers are muted complements. I decided to add the apple for the contrasting size relationship and lead color accent. The arrangement reminded me of a singing group putting their voices together in close harmonies.

Hi Jimmy,
This is my first time visting your blog. Your work is very impressive, your use of color is wonderful. “Three Part Harmony” is my favorite, although they are all terrific.
