I love playing with variations on complementary color schemes. There’s so many ways to vary the effect from subtle to overt. This one minimizes the complement of the yellow (blue violet), and plays up the discords of blue green and red violet. Often I’ll select an object I’ve been wanting to paint and then look for other things to include that will harmonize the color in some way.
